HOTWIRE SAW

I saw how Kent Ashton created his hotwire saw and decided to create something similar.

I got two pieces of pipe from Lowes ($2.72 each) and drilled some holes in a 2x4 (per the plans).

Then I drilled holes in the pipe.  One hole is drilled high up, where the hot wire is going to get connected to.

I decided to put a bolt through the hole and tie the hotwire to the bolt.  That way, the wire is bent over the round part of the pipe and not around the sharp edges through a hole in the pipe

I drilled another set of holes a little lower down the pipe so that I can use a screw driver to tighten the wire when it heats up.

This is what the complete setup looks like during a trial run.  Please excuse the clutter.
